Embedded Engineer - Power Electronics (f/m/d)

Your Tasks

Further development of the existing codebase with new features and project refinement in cooperation with the team
Writing and maintaining program and functions for family of automotive solar power electronics, including high voltage devices
Refining and innovating our control models and algorithms into usable microcontroller code
Conducting program debugging within development frameworks and directly on hardware
Programming and handling of common automotive communications such as CAN and derivatives
Consistently develop within common coding standards such as unit testing, git revision control, modular and reusable code, etc.
Full documentation of all engineering designs or process
Support functional safety and cyber security topics
Taking on other tasks according to your skills that can contribute to achieving company goals. As part of a startup, each of us has a great responsibility.

Our Requirements

Completed studies in computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable qualification
At least 5 years of professional experience
Expertise in writing C/C++ for microcontrollers in safety-critical electronics components
Experienced in adapting control algorithms into performant, real-time code
Strong understanding of electronics schematics, integrated circuit functions, and how to manage IC peripherals
Good knowledge of revision control, both technically and for intra-team communication
Experience with Microchip dsPIC33 microcontroller a strong plus
Experience with MathWorks Simulink/Stateflow and MathWorks code generation for automotive applications is welcome
Experience developing for AUTOSAR/ISO26262/ASPICE contexts a plus
Fluent English skills are required as this is our company language

Deine Aufgaben

Weiterentwicklung der bestehenden Datenbank um neue Funktionen und Projektoptimierung in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Team
Erstellen und Pflegen von Programmen und Funktionen für eine Reihe von solarbetriebenen Leistungselektronikgeräten für Kraftfahrzeuge, einschließlich Hochspannungsgeräten
Verbesserung und Erneuerung unserer Steuerungsmodelle und Algorithmen in anwendbaren Mikrocontroller-Code
Fehlersuche und -behebung in Entwicklungsumgebung sowie direkt auf der Hardware
Programmierung und Verarbeitung gängiger Kommunikationssysteme für Kraftfahrzeuge wie CAN und Derivate
Kontinuierliche Weiterentwicklung unter Einhaltung allgemeiner Kodierungsstandards wie Unit-Tests, Git-Revisionskontrolle, modularem und wiederverwendbarem Code usw.
Vollständige Dokumentation aller technischen Designs und Prozesse
Unterstützung von funktionaler Sicherheit und Cyber-Security-Themen
Übernahme weiterer Aufgaben entsprechend deinen Fähigkeiten, die zur Erreichung der Unternehmensziele beitragen können. Als Teil eines Startups, trägt jeder von uns eine große Verantwortung.

Unsere Anforderungen

Abgeschlossenes Studium im Bereich Informatik, Elektrotechnik oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation
Mindestens 5 Jahre Berufserfahrung
Erfahrung in der Programmierung von C/C++ für Mikrocontroller in sicherheitskritischen Elektronikkomponenten
Expertise in der Umwandlung von Steuerungsalgorithmen in leistungsfähigen Echtzeitcode
Umfassendes Verständnis von elektronischen Schaltplänen, integrierten Schaltkreisfunktionen und der Steuerung von IC-Peripheriegeräten
Gute Kenntnisse im Bereich der Revisionskontrolle, sowohl technisch als auch für die Kommunikation innerhalb des Teams
Erfahrung mit Microchip dsPIC33-Mikrocontrollern von großem Vorteil
Erfahrung mit MathWorks Simulink/Stateflow und MathWorks-Codegenerierung für Automobilanwendungen ist willkommen
