System Development Engineer (f/m/d)

Your Tasks

At Sono Motors, we are a motivated small team, dedicated to bringing solar products to the market. As part of our Solar Integration team that develops products for transportation vehicle applications, you will be responsible for the development of the overall system, such as system definition, system integration, mechanical parts or E/E. In this team your role includes:

  • System Development of Photovoltaic Systems in Automotive applications focused on buses
  • Responsible for feasibility studies and concept development
  • Requirement engineering and creation of specifications
  • Project management between different internal teams and external suppliers
  • Developing circuits, wiring layouts and system topologies 
  • Supporting system testing and validation
  • D-FMEA support for different projects
Our Requirements
  • Bachelor's, Master’s or Diploma in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive Engineering or similar discipline
  • 3-5 years of professional experience as a development engineer, preferably in the automotive environment 
  • Broad technical expertise of electrics and mechanics
  • Basic knowledge in E-CAD would be advantageous
  • Basic knowledge of photovoltaic systems
  • You have a hands-on mentality and are open to work also on the test benches or vehicles
  • Living sustainable is important to you - in your private and professional life
  • Fluent English is a must - fluent German a plus
